We know that this summer soccer season will look different than any other.
To ease the financial and organizational load on Clubs and parents, the EODSA has made the following changes for summer 2021 with regards to ID cards.
ALL ID CARDS THAT EXPIRE IN 2021 WILL NOW EXPIRE IN DECEMBER 2021
Player cards show the month and year of expiry. All cards that expire in the year 2021 will now assume to be the month DECEMBER instead of what is shown on the card. No player will be refused from a game because their card shows an expiry date of 2021.
CHANGE TO WHO REQUIRES A PHYSICAL ID CARD
The software that the OCSL, ERSL and NCISL leagues use for league play offers the option of digital ID cards. The EODSA is allowing the sole use of these cards, meaning no physical ID card is required, for every team except for Regional, OPDL and Ontario Cup. Ontario Soccer asks that for these divisions physical ID cards are carried to games as backup to the digital card.
Digital only ID card required:
- Any ERSL PREMIER division
- Any ERSL DEVELOPMENT 1 or 2 division (no physical or digital card required at all)
- Any ERSL COMPETITIVE 1 or 2 division
- Any OCSL Rec division
- Any OCSL OT division, including Over45 and Masters
- Any OCSL Women’s Over 30 division
- Any OCSL C1 to C5 division
- Any NCISL division
Digital AND physical ID Card required:
- Any ERSL Regional division
- Any OPDL team
- Any OCSL Premier division
- Any team attending Ontario Cup
PROCESS FOR ID CARDS
The EODSA is NOT offering card pickup at the office this year. For physical cards the only delivery option will be mail. This is important – NO SAME DAY REQUESTS will be possible. In an emergency, have your Club Manager contact the EODSA.
COST OF ID CARDS
Digital only – 6.00
