The EODSA is committed to enabling and providing services
geared towards what the modern player wants.
To that end, the EODSA has formed a Competitions Research
Committee. The mandate of the committee
is to determine the most appropriate competition structure for grassroots,
youth, adult and indoor competition in the EODSA. This includes governance and
operations of leagues, to the extent that the Ontario Soccer bylaws and
procedures allow individualization.
The Committee has created a survey to collect player input
regarding their likes and dislikes, reasons they play soccer, areas that need
improvement and new areas to explore. This information will be collected,
reviewed, and analyzed to get a better understanding of the current wants and
needs of the players in our membership.
Based on the input received, the EODSA will also be creating
additional surveys to further explore specific areas such as Competitions. The
results of those surveys will assist with determining where to make adjustments
within the current structure to meet the needs of the players in the EODSA
membership.
The EODSA is asking Clubs to send out this survey to all players
in their Club from U8 to Masters so we can get as much input as possible. We
want to get input from all our different player groups (Mini, Youth, Senior,
Comp and Rec). We would be looking to make adjustments for different segments
depending on the needs reported in the responses.
Please assist us with improving soccer within the district by
sending the survey out to your teams/players. The more responses we receive,
the better the data will be and the better the adjustments will be to improve
soccer with a more player centred approach for all within the EODSA.
The Survey will close June 23rd, 2020.
